About Me
My name is Yuhan Zhou. My major is Communication. I am a girl from China. Before I started my university studies, I was studying in China all through my schoollife. I am an adaptable and calm person. I am particularly interested in the Advertising & Marketing Communication aspect of my program. When I was young, I was alwaysvery interested in the advertisements shown on TV. I watched how they used different methods and tools to create an attractive atmosphere, telling a story to make me feel something, or creating visual impact to influence people's choices and perceptions. I joined a second hand market held by my elementary school, where people could exchange or sell any items.
I loved introducing my goods to others and enjoyed the process of selling them. It gave me a real feeling of achievement. When I grew up, I began to realize that this was advertising, a form of Marketing Communication. I also really like drawing posters. Sometimes I pretend I'm trying to sell a product to come up with a sales pitch. Later on, I still enjoyed watching attractive advertisements. I would like to look at the format of their poster designs, the logical structure of their videos, and so on. Gradually, I came to understand why some advertisements are attractive and can bring in a lot of profits, but some advertisements are just boring. I am particularly interested in observing consumer psychology and enjoy exploring different ways to make product promotions more attractive.
Because of age, lifestyle, and other factors, different products work for different customer groups. I find this is very interesting. I hope to create excellent advertisements or develop good marketing strategies that attract people. I hope to pursue a career in advertising and marketing communications in the future, such as becoming a Marketing Strategist or Creative Director.
